How It All Started
In 2018 my daughter was fed up with her allergy and not being able to use anything that " smelled nice". For a then 14 year old that was a huge issue that she dwelled on daily. Her allergy didn't allow her to use any of the products her friends did. This meant no body spray, no perfume, no scented body wash or soaps. So as her mom I did what moms do and started researching. What could I personally do for her that would make her just a bit happier with the situation she was dealt? I soon came across an article from someone who was in a similar situation to my daughter and used essential to make her own bath and body products. Well that was great....but I am an insurance broker by trade so what could I really come up with? A few videos and a lot of research later (while sitting at our dining room table you see here) Peconic River Soap Company began.
What Keeps Me Going
These two are my reasons for everything. My daughter and stepson are absolutely the ones who keep me going. They keep me on my toes and remind me that life is all about running through the fields! I hope I can show them that all this hard work pays off and doing what you love is a blessing. Follow your dreams and shine each and everyday! To the moon and back....Chicago to Zimbabwe XOXO
What The Future Holds
Who knows?!? I'm sure this guy will keep it interesting. My husband has been behind me from day one! From making my custom molds to listening to me endlessly dwell on the next decision. I'd be a sitting duck without him! Everyday that I am allowed to create our signature, skin loving soap and bath products for you is a good day! I am truly blessed to live on this beautiful island with my amazing husband and children. So we may not know what the future hold but it's 100% looking bright!!
